Sarah Moreland, of West Friendship, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Messiah College, in Grantham, Pa.

Peter Ridge, of Ellicott City, was named to the dean's list for the spring 2008 semester at Sacred Heart University.

Briana C. Gapsis, of Ellicott City, was recently initiated into the pre-medical honor society Alpha Epsilon Delta at Washington & Lee University.

Elaine Heiss, of Ellicott City, has been elected for membership in Alpha Sigma Nu, the honor society of Jesuit institutions of higher learning, at Loyola College.

Sterling Pack, of Marriottsville, a recent graduate of Loyola College of Maryland, was recently selected for inclusion in the "Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges" publication.

The following Howard County residents graduated from Valparaiso University: Jennifer Frederick, of Clarksville; Kenzie Baldwin, of Laurel; and Sharayah Schram, of Savage.

Brian A. Barressi, son of Marianne Chiccone, of Ashton, and Andrew Barressi, of Laurel, graduated from Otterbein College June 15.

Emily Reed, of Clarksville, and Alexandra Sfekas, of Ellicott City, graduated from Gettysburg College on May 18.

Christine Abigail Littleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Littleton, of Clarksville, graduated from Dickinson College on May 18 with a bachelor's degree in policy management.

Bonnie Elisabeth Scott, daughter of Jane and Herb Scott, of Ellicott City, graduated from Dickinson College May 18 with a bachelor's degree in religion and history.
