Rebuilding Together Howard County, in Columbia, has appointed John Startt, of Howard County, as the new president of its board of directors. Startt replaced retiring president Bob Schurter, who served three years as president and has served on the board since 1998. As president, Startt has plans for Rebuilding Together Howard County to repair and rehabilitate 30 homes in Howard County and recruit board members. In addition, the following individuals have been elected as new officers: Gloria Gadson, chief executive officer of Gadson's Financial and Design Co., vice president; Cheryl Mattis, fiscal officer of Howard County Department of Citizen Services, secretary; and Marc Schulman, business advisor and executive director of Ernst & Young, treasurer.
