P-A-R-T-Y! Who is up for a summer block party? The First Baptist Church of Savage, along with other community churches, will be hosting a summer block party for our entire community.

The festivities will be held on the Baldwin Hall Common Grounds July 30 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Pam Nixon, outreach coordinator for FBCS, wants to ensure that "children and adults of all ages come out and enjoy and evening of fun with family and friends!"

There will be games, face painting, food and beverages, music, door prizes and more. In addition, testimonies for Christ will be shared with the community.

This annual event is free and tends to bring our community together for a summertime event to remember. So be sure to circle July 30 on your calendar, or better yet, just tell the children as they will be sure to remember. Hope to see you all there!

For those who would like to go to Hawaii, or a island similar, you will want to look for details about vacation Bible school in my future columns. The theme this summer for First Baptist Church of Savage VBS will be "Take Children to Hawaii" where they will enjoy games, snacks, crafts and Bible stories. Keep reading future columns for more information.

Happy birthday wishes go out to Liz Slater celebrating July 17; Donna Hosang celebrating July 20; and Brandy (Grooms) Naecker and Robbyn Harris both celebrating July 22.

In addition, I want to wish all of my readers who will be celebrating either a birthday or an anniversary this upcoming week a very happy one.
