Dorothy and Ken Zachmann, of Ellicott City, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Blair Zachmann, to Mark Robert Remeto, son of Karen and Bob Remeto, of Cambridge.

The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Towson University, where she received a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in advertising and marketing. She is a media planner/buyer for Media Works Ltd., in Owings Mills.

The future groom is a 2003 graduate of Towson and received a bachelor's degree in art with a graphic design concentration. He is a graphic designer for Rapiergroup Inc., in Savage.

An October wedding is planned.
