PSAT and SAT prep classes> Beginning in September SAT and PSAT prep classes will be held at Centennial High School taught by Marion McCain. There will be two sessions of 10 classes each. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays. 4-6 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. Dates: Sept. 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25 and Oct. 2 and 7. Cost is $395. Applications are available at Centennial High, 4300 Centennial Lane. County-wide, Howard County Public School System students will take the PSAT Oct. 15. Sophomores will take the practice PSAT. Meet the new principal> The Centennial High School Parent Teacher Student Association will host a "Meet and Greet" with Centennial High School Principal Carl Perkins Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to noon and Aug. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Media Center of the school, 4300 Centennial Lane, Ellicott City. Students and parents are welcome to attend.
Glenelg Country
World premiere performance> Glenelg Country School's Performing Arts Department, under the direction of Carole Lehan, will perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Edinburgh, Scotland in August, as part of the American High School Theatre Festival. The world premiere of "Aesop's Foibles," a musical, book by Carole Graham Lehan with music and lyrics by Tom French, will be at the 360-seat Church Hill Theatre. Thirty-five upper school students, from sophomores through graduating seniors, will present four performances during their two-week adventure to London and Edinburgh. "Aesop's Foibles" was presented this past spring at Glenelg County School.

Katherine Maskeroni earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Susquehanna University. Commencement exercises were May 11.
