Dine out and dig in during Restaurant Weeks
Dining event runs from July 21 to August 3

The event began last Monday and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, and includes some 21 independent restaurants in the county that are offering a two-course lunch menu for $20.08 and a three-course dinner for $30.08 (tax and gratuity not included; promotions and menu vary by venue).
"Especially being in Columbia in Howard County, the idea of independents [being featured] is wonderful," says Tom Bender, manager of Victoria Gastro Pub. "This is Chain City. Restaurant Week gives people the opportunity to fall in love with some of the other options in the area."
Reservations are recommended.
The Howard County Tourism office is getting into the act, too, by inviting diners to submit photos of themselves taken at participating (identifiable) restaurants during the promotion. Those who've eaten at the most venues will be eligible to win a $100 gas card. Photos should be sent to HCRestaurantWeeks@gmail.com.
