Diana Miotto Lang, of Ellicott City, formerly of Anne Arundel County and Bowie, died June 28, 2008, of breast cancer, at Gilchrist Hospice Care. She was 42.

Born May 17, 1966, in Washington, D.C., to Albert and Angela Miotto, she graduated from Bowie High School in 1984.

In 1988, she graduated from Towson State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education.

She also earned a master's degree in counseling from Loyola University in Baltimore in the mid-1990s.

She married Matthew E. Lang in 1996.

Mrs. Lang was a homemaker, who worked as an elementary school teacher for Anne Arundel County for 10 years, until 1999.

She was predeceased by an aunt, Janet Hoffman.

In addition to her husband of 12 years, Mrs. Lang is survived by three sons, Garrett Lang, Aidan Lang and Carson Lang, all of Ellicott City; a daughter, Bridget Lang, of Ellicott City; her parents, Albert Miotto, of Rockville and Angela Miotto, of Greenbelt; her father- and mother-in-law, David and Chris Lang, of Newark, Ohio; three sisters, Lisa Miotto, of Moline, Ill., Ginina Miotto, of Rockville, and Andrea Miotto, of Greenbelt; a brother, Steve Miotto, of Wichita, Kan.; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral services were to be held July 2, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County.

Interment followed at St. Johns Cemetery in Ellicott City.
